Georgia’s Alternative Loan Financing Program

About Creditable

The CreditAble program serves as Georgia’s Alternative Financing Program designed to provide individuals with disabilities and their families the opportunity to access funds at favorable terms, including low-interest rates and extended repayment periods. These funds are intended for the acquisition of assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and associated services.

The mission of CreditAble is to facilitate individuals with disabilities, as well as their family members, guardians, advocates, and authorized representatives, in accessing assistive technology devices and services via low interest loan. This objective is achieved through the establishment and administration of Georgia's Assistive Technology Alternative Financing Program. The ultimate goal is to enhance the independence and overall quality of life for end-users.

Who We Serve

Individuals with a disability, their family members or legal guardians/representatives who request Assistive Technology, home modifications, or vehicle modifications as defined by the program policies and demonstrate the ability to repay the loan.

Why Work with CreditAble?

CreditAble Loan

  • Low credit scores are not necessarily a disqualifying factor for eligibility.
  • Pre-existing conditions do not impede the acceptance of the loan application.
  • Favorable interest rates contribute to a more manageable loan repayment process.
  • Extended term programs afford borrowers ample time for the gradual repayment of the loan.
  • CreditAble loans support the acquisition of a diverse range of assistive devices, including but not limited to vehicles, power chairs, lifts, home modifications, and hearing aids.

Conventional Loan

  • Applicants are required to satisfy stringent credit score and underwriting criteria.
  • Pre-existing conditions could potentially result in disqualification from loan approval.
  • Higher interest rates are typically associated with loans extended to individuals with lower credit scores.
  • Short-term loans necessitate prompt repayment to avoid defaulting on the loan.
