FODAC friends came out on Monday, October 11, 2021 to Smoke Rise Country Club to enjoy the crisp fall weather, play a round of golf, and raise some funds to support FODAC’s home medical equipment (HME) program. 80 players helped raise over $56,000, a 27% increase over last year’s tournament. These funds will help provide over 390 mobility items like wheelchairs, walkers, stander patient lifts, and hospital beds – to help improve the quality of life for adults and children with disabilities.
The winning team of this year’s tournament was Metro Contents, with Keith Connor’s team taking second place.
Longest drive: Don Swann (Men’s) and Jessica Burke (Women’s)
Closest to the pin: Kamron Ramsier (Men’s) and Mary Ann Mackey (Women’s)
Guest speakers included Lina Rojas (FODAC client) and Mayor of Tucker, Frank Auman. Breakfast was provided by Chick-fil-A Northlake Festival/Tucker Station, Skip’s Chicago Dogs were delivered to players on the course, and players gathered at the clubhouse after the tournament for a buffet meal and prizes.
FODAC thanks the sponsors who helped make this event a success!
